It is not very often that unique properties so rich in history become available to purchase. The original log style lodge was built in 1920 and has been beautifully and thoughtfully updated and remodeled. The downstairs is a self-contained apartment currently used as a permitted short term rental (STR). It retains all of its quaint charm, coziness and warmth from that era. The iron pot belly wood burning stove and the eight-burner gas range with two ovens and a griddle are still used today. It has two bedrooms, an additional small sleeping loft and two bathrooms. The open plan kitchen/living/dining room is spacious and attractive with a pool table, plenty of dining space and a cozy pellet stove in the living room. Settle in with a good book or play some board games. This part of the property is being sold with all the furniture and accessories. Currently has no washer dryer but hookups are there. It welcomes visitors from all over the world and rents from $300+ a night.
Upstairs you will find another spacious, light and bright apartment, currently occupied by the owners. This part of the building was the original dance hall but has been beautifully renovated. There is a large primary suite, huge walk in closet and elegant bathroom. There are an additional two bedrooms plus a bonus room. One is currently used as a gym and the other a storage room. There are several side patios and garden areas to sit outside and enjoy the sound of the St.Vrain river and admire the dramatic scenery and rock outcroppings. It is close to Estes Park, a popular summertime vacation area and Rocky Mountain National Park.
